Every human possesses fasciae. These are the soft components of our connective tissue in the form of thin skin. We find them mainly in the joints, tendons, ligaments, at the shackles and in the muscles. They are divided into superficial, deep and visceral fasciae. Their task is to separate muscles and maintain lymphatic flow. They’re connected to the nervous system. Unfortunately, it is more common for fasciae to stick together. This occurs when a congestion in the lymph is caused by tension. This leads to pain in various areas. The back is most frequently affected, but the neck, stomach or joints can also be affected. If a sticking of the fascia was determined, a fascia training is often prescribed. However, this training cannot be separated from the term sport, because one cannot be done without the other. However, there is a special “sports equipment” that is used for this special training: The fascia roll













A fascia roll is a roll that is intended for the self-massage of muscles, soft tissue and the fasciae enveloping them. In some cases, this role even saves the masseur or physiotherapist, the latter sometimes using the fascial role. The roll is usually made of hard foam and has a diameter of approx. 15 cm. It varies in colour, hardness, length and usually also in the texture of the surface. There are fascia rolls for beginners and those for active athletes. The roles for beginners are very soft and well suitable for all those who are very sensitive to pain. Rollers for active athletes are harder and reach deep into the musculature. A small disadvantage of the soft foam rollers is that they lose stability over time. For those who want to feel a long-lasting effect, it is best to lie on fascial rolls with small pimples or grooves.
