In the most common cases, training bands are made of rubber or latex. The tapes are equipped either with handles or without handles. Training bands with or without handles are suitable for certain exercises. The training bands with handles are often shorter than handleless bands – up to about 1 meter long. Depending on the available strength, whether youth, woman or man, beginner or professional athlete, for example, you can choose between light, medium and strong tensile strength. Tensile strength grades may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Other names for training bands can be for example resistance band, gymnastic band, fitness band, yoga band, resistance band or the English terms “rubber” and “strap” as well as other names. A popular exercise with the training band, which trains almost all muscle groups in the body, is to place the feet on the band while standing and to hold the ends of the band in one hand. Then you squat down with your upper body slightly bent forward, similar to a skier, and stretch your hands up with the training gang ends facing up, as if you were holding ski poles. When the body stands up or rushes forward, the strap is pulled further forward or upwards. By pulling the legs closer to the body and stepping away again with force, under the pulling force of the band, the muscles of the stomach, buttocks and legs can be trained. Sitting on a chair, for example, arms, chest and shoulder, but also back can be trained well. The feet are put back on the belt. The ends of the tape are relatively short. The upper body is bent far down. When the belt is pulled up, the necessary force is taken from the upper body and the arms until the arms and hands are stretched forwards or upwards with the belt. This little exercise with the training tape can also be used as a break when working at a desk or similar. The exercises presented here are only a few examples of training possibilities. The variety for different exercises and training sequences with the training tape is enormous. However, exercises should only be taken according to the instructions of experienced fitness trainers or from good training books in order to prevent possible sports injuries and to avoid incorrect handling of the training band.
