On the official Twitter account of “Evangelion” it was announced today that the recordings for the dubbing of the new movie “Evangelion 3.0+1.0” (Japanese: “Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||”) have started. You’ll find the tweet further down. The new film is scheduled for release in Japan in 2020.
More than two years ago, Studio Khara confirmed that they were currently working on the last part of the film series. Art Director Tatsuya Kushida also published a first illustration of the anime in July 2017
The first three films “Evangelion: 1.11 You Are [Not] Alone”, “Evangelion: 2.22 You Can [Not] Advance” and “Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo” are already available on DVD and Blu-ray from Universum Anime. The anime series is to be published worldwide by Netflix in the spring of this year.
