Free time: Dive computer Video Guide

The dive computer has a pressure-resistant housing in which a sensor is located. This is important, among other things, for the water pressure and partly also for other physical quantities. It also contains a microprocessor. The purpose of the dive computer is to calculate the saturation state of the tissues in short time intervals. This regular measurement allows a fairly accurate mathematical representation to be made. Furthermore, it is constantly checked whether the corresponding ambient pressure is tolerated with the saturation state of the tissue. This determines how deep the dive can go to prevent tissue damage. The dive computer therefore offers great advantages. It is usually worn on the wrist. But it is also possible to combine it with other devices or consoles. It is important to select a high quality dive computer, such as the following:

This dive computer is a state-of-the-art, complete device that always guarantees the highest level of efficiency, reliability and safety. The Giotto can be used for recreational dives, but also for divers who have the appropriate training. Based on the Dual-Mix Cressi RGBM algorithm, the software handles two different oxygen-enriched gas mixtures. These can be selected during the dives. The dive computer is programmed within a few minutes to the individual requirements. Technical divers will be interested in the gauge function, that is, the use of the device as a depth gauge with a dive time display. This serves to control the dive plan and the backup.

* Diving depth

The diver is always informed by the dive computer about the current diving depth, which is calculated with the integrated depth gauge.

This displays the current time spent underwater, but only when the diver has been in contact with water.

This display tells the diver how long it is still possible to remain underwater without slipping into the decompression obligation.

Beginners should not make use of this display, as they should keep away from the zero limit. However, if decompression stops are necessary, they are displayed
