Best Rust protection

This process cannot be completely prevented. It can only be hindered and slowed down by preventive measures. That’s why it makes sense, for example, to immediately provide effective corrosion protection for a new car. Many car manufacturers go to great lengths to equip the bodywork accordingly. In addition, the car owner can, for example, treat the underside of the body with underbody protection each year. The company Nigrin offers an underbody protection in spray form, which can be handled very well. The product to be sprayed is a mixture of bitumen and wax. The agent forms a permanently elastic layer and adheres very firmly to the subfloor. This reliably protects the metal surface against corrosion. An additional side effect is the protection against the harmful effects of road salt and rockfall.

In other applications, the metal surface is protected by a coating of lacquer. A typical example is the garden fence made of metal dusts. When the fence gets old, it is time to renew the rust protection. But it would be completely wrong to simply apply the new paint. All loose rust must first be thoroughly knocked off or removed with a wire brush. With complicated surfaces, this is extremely tedious and time-consuming. Then it makes sense to first apply a penetrating agent. This is the name given to a coating consisting of a mixture of air-drying oils and resins. The slightly viscous components are able to penetrate into the loose structure of the grate. This insulates the corroded parts and prevents the rust from spreading further. If the penetrating agent is completely dry, a decorative varnish can be applied.

If you are more intensively concerned with the subject of rust protection, you will sooner or later come across so-called rust converters. These are mixtures which are able to convert rust into stable iron-III-oxide compounds by a chemical reaction. This works well on smooth surfaces. The rust converter is simply applied to the rusty surface with a brush or spray gun and should then remain open for a longer period of time. After sufficient drying, the stable layer can be coated with a varnish. This method is not recommended for highly porous rust.

The advantage that all products of this company have to offer: They are easy to handle and save the user a lot of time because these coats can be applied directly to the grate.
