Storyline (Plot of The Heroic Legend of Arslan Season 3)

The plot is set in year 320 BC. The protagonist, Arslan is the 14 yr old Prince of Pars, a kingdom set in the Pre Islamic era of Persia. His father, King Andragoras III, the King of Pars was wrongly betrayed by his fellow compatriots and the neighboring country Lusitania forcefully conquers the kingdom of Pars. Arslan being an immature kid and with absolutely no vision or prospect for the future of the country, goes into battle with the army of Lusitani, resulting in the massive loss. The death of Vahriz, the warrior who was like a father figure to Arslan and also his trainer effects Arslan further.

Arslan being the secretly adopted son of King Andragoras and Queen Tahamine had often been the reason for self-doubt for the King Andagoras, so a cold wall was bound to be there between the parents and son. The entire childhood events shaped Arslan’s belief that unless he proved himself, his family would never accept him. The story continues with how Arslan, rises from being the mere simple dethroned and exiled weakling to a warrior. Arslan raises an army to battle the army of Lusitania from the hand of Silvermask of Lusitania and win back the lost kingdom of Pars and undo his mistakes.

Arslan, somehow escapes from the kingdom with the help of his loyal servant come to friend Daryun. Hiding from Lusitanian army, Arslan begins to plot the second battle. Helping him in his endeavors is his longtime friend, philosopher and a brilliant tactician Narsus and his servant Elam, Farangis, a priestess known for her extremely cold and aloof mannerism but great visionary knowledge. Gieve, a gypsy musician and performer who love to con people for fun. The odd assemble of the crew manages to create an army strong enough to withstand and win against the massively skilled and large Lusitanian army.

Season 2 ended on a high note with Arslan winning back the throne of Pars. However, there was a cliffhanger where new trouble was shown brewing elsewhere with the rise of Silvermask, the elusive high ranking army general of Lusitania who had run away after losing the battle to Arslan’s army. The finale ends with Silvermask who was revealed to be a genuine second contender of the thrown of Pars, once again starting to brainwash and provoke people to create a plan for dethroning Arslan, the present king of Pars.
