Best Compriband

A combination belt can not only be used quickly, it also helps to reduce energy costs. If you decide on the right combination strap, you will quickly get the draught problem under control. In addition, the window mounting with these tapes is an easy. These tapes protect against the rain, act as thermal insulation for the windows and keep the air outside.

A combination tape (also called joint tape or stop tape) is a pre-compressed and impregnated polyurethane-based foam sealing tape. The open-cell polyurethane foam is impregnated with a water-repellent synthetic resin polymer, pre-compressed and rolled up. These sealing tape rolls are available in different dimensions depending on the joint size and application. The combination belt is unwound and glued to one component while the other is set against it as required. However, it can also be retrofitted into an existing joint, as it attempts to achieve its uncompressed dimension. It expands slowly after being inserted into the joint and is positioned close to the edges of the joint. The difference between a combination tape and a swelling tape is that this tape, after its volume has increased when water is absorbed, resets itself purely mechanically without chemical reactions or physical processes. A combination tape has the following properties:- It adheres adhesively (with force) and non-reactively (with chemistry).- It has a temperature resistance of -30° C to +90° C.- It is easy to apply due to a delayed restoring force.- Impregnation is on a dispersion basis.- It has excellent compatibility with other active ingredients.- It has a high resistance to weathering and ageing.- Fire behaviour, building material class B1, DIN 4102

As a rule, these are available as outer and inner tapes in various load groups. The stress group BG1 means that the Kobriband is flame-retardant. In addition, it has a driving rain tightness of 600 pascal, while a BG2 Kobriband has one of 300 pascal. The directive MO-01/1 of January 2007 stipulates that a combination tape of the highest stress group BG1 is to be used for the outer window sealing. The stress groups are defined in DIN 18542. DIN 18542, however, also defines, among other things, the following:- thermal shock resistance- a-value / air permeability- weather resistance- resistance to moisture and light- resistance to water vapour diffusion- resistance to fire behaviour- resistance to driving rain in case of joint crossings- compatibility with other building materials Application areas for a combination tape:- Facade construction- for sealing against noise, draughts, driving rain, dust in exterior and interior areas- glass construction- floor joints- for installation of door frames and windows in masonry, also between different materials- movement joints on flat roofs- container construction- automotive industry- timber construction including interior cladding- building construction between aluminium profiles

After removing the old window and ensuring that the new window fits and can also be installed horizontally and vertically, the combination hinge is used. It is important to make sure that the tape gets as few cuts as possible. Loops should be formed at curves and corners so that the tape has sufficient freedom of movement and can later be glued to the reveal of the inside. The combination tape is glued to the outside along the line or along the outer edge. If the window has been installed and fastened correctly and the combi tape has expanded so far that the joint on the outside is closed, the window can be foamed out.
