Hand detergents are special detergents designed for use in actual hand washing. They dissolve more quickly in cold water and are usually softer on the skin. Therefore, they are suitable for washing on the move when no washing machine is available. Textiles that are to be washed by hand can also be washed with it. However, an adapted fine or wool detergent is often suitable for this purpose. When making your choice, make sure that the hand-washing detergent matches the textiles. The aforementioned enzymes, bleaching agents and optical brighteners have no place in wool, silk and other sensitive fibres – but they can be found in hand washing detergents. White curtains quickly lose their radiant colour.
