By a very strong heating over 300 degrees the wax is put into a gaseous state and can then be evaporated on photo special paper. The higher the temperature, the more intense the colour intensity. However, since only one colour can be applied per printing process, photo printers are busy for a very long time to produce multicolour images. Each color needs its own printing process. Thermosublimation technology is much slower than inkjet technology in terms of printing time. The color intensity, however, speaks for the purchase of a photo printer with thermotechnology. There are office photo printers (Fujifilm Instax Share SP1) as well as mobile photo printers (e.g. Canon SELPHY CP1000) equipped with thermal sublimation technology.
